Hot Springs State Park

The park also includes the source of the mineral hot springs, many of the natural pools, and a historic swinging bridge. The bridge connected the original hotel and hospital on one side of the river to the hot springs on the other side of the river.

Swinging Bridge

The white rocks on the hill say "World's Largest Mineral Hot Springs" with an arrow pointing to the park.

Bison viewing

In Hot Springs State Park, behind the hot springs pool, there is a small bison herd. This morning we were treated to a great view. They were right by the road at the entrance tot he park. We got to see the four babies (2 months old), one set of twins. They look like cows!

All four babies are in there. Sometimes they are hard to see!

Another repeat

We stayed at the same hotel in 2015 and took a photo of the girls under this mini-antler arch. They have grown a lot in 5 years!

Zoltar

Have you seen the movie, Big? We found this at the Star Plunge Hot Springs. He sounds just as creepy in person as in the movie.

The Lobster Pot and other hot springs pools

We loved that the hottest springs pool was called the lobster pot.

The tube in the background is one of the water slides. The girls must have gone down it 2 dozen times!

This is the indoor pool with the waterslide twisting over it.

Samantha on the High Dive

Samantha did the high dive when we were here in 2015. (Click here to see the photos from 2015.) She did not hesitate to climb back up and do it again.

Ali on the High Dive

We weren't sure she would do it, but she was very brave. She went off several times and said it was really scary every time! It seemed like it took forever to hit the water!
